Fort - Medieval Map

Work in progress for a new upcoming map for Counter-Strike by Tatu Eugen [WiP]

I started building a new map for Counter-Strike 1.6 using textures from the Source engine.

  • The map is in a medieval castle style, but not necessarily a full castle.
  • It will have 2 bombsites.
  • A mid area with fast rotations for both teams.


In red-lines from image you can see full path for players in the map.
The blue arrows the main entry for each team / bomb site.
The blue block walls in the image will be indoor one for CT one for TS and exit into bombsite B.

I’ll share more details about the progress along the way.


Going forward with this dev, not sure what name to use for map plan, decided to made new textures for it instead source textures. A mix between town/castle medieval map theme.

  • Textures ready for the map
  • Most of walls done
  • Working on buildings & bombsites
  • Created map architecture & theme
  • Bombsite A: crates site
  • Bombsite B: fountain site

No rush into this to finish, so maybe in few months will be ready, also i will make different versions like 2x2, night, winter, remake and others.

12 January 2026

  • Start to apply textures to the map
  • Almost ready bombsites structure plan
  • Improved anti-rush defense for terrorists
  • Bigger spawn zones for both teams
  • Enlarger bombsite B

  • Finished complete map plan
  • Just few more details needs to be added
  • Interiors done
  • Implemented new boost features for two players
  • Re-calculated some walk-time for both teams
  • Both bombsites completed
  • Extra new textures created
(It is getting close to the final development stage)

12 March 2026
  • Extra details added
  • Finished map perfomance testing
  • First in-game testing
  • Added lights and ambience
  • Added extra space for some areas
  • Improved visual textures and areas
  • Extra lights for brighter gameplay
(up to 90% progress now)

17 March 2026
  • Map progress 100%
  • Added few sounds
  • Added clip-restriction all over the map
  • Fixed few visual bad looking
  • More optimization was done
  • Added new small in-door area for A site
  • Better lighting and fixed all bad looking lights
  • New water texture fountain B site
(Just testing from now, will be released very soon)
